Who we are
Value Engineering was established in 2014 in South Africa and has since grown into a trusted name in steel fabrication and engineering solutions. What began as a small workshop dedicated to quality welding and fabrication has developed into a full-service steel manufacturing business, serving homeowners, farmers, contractors, and industrial clients across the region.
Our name reflects our philosophy: every product we build is engineered to deliver real, lasting value to our clients – combining structural integrity, durability, and cost-effective craftsmanship. Today, Value Engineering operates as a full-service steel fabrication company, offering both a standard product range and custom-engineered solutions tailored to each client’s specifications and site conditions. Our workshop handles everything in-house, from raw material cutting through to welding, finishing, and installation, giving us full control over quality at every stage of production.
We work with private homeowners securing their properties, farmers needing tough, reliable equipment, contractors requiring structural steelwork on tight deadlines, and businesses looking for a dependable long-term fabrication partner. Our Story
Value Engineering was founded with a simple goal: to provide South African households and businesses with steel products that are genuinely built to last, at a fair price. In the early years, the business focused on core products – sliding gates and burglar screens – earning a local reputation for strong welds, neat finishes, and honest dealings with customers.
As demand grew, the product range expanded to include light and heavy duty trailers, responding to requests from agricultural and small-business clients who needed dependable, load-rated transport solutions. This was followed by a move into industrial structures, as contractors and factory owners sought a fabricator capable of handling larger structural steel projects with the same attention to detail applied to smaller residential work.
Alongside product manufacturing, Value Engineering built up a dedicated services division, offering metal rolling and a full range of welding disciplines – CO2, arc, and gas welding – to support both our own production and the fabrication needs of other businesses, contractors, and workshops.
More than a decade since our founding, Value Engineering continues to operate on the same principles that started the business: quality workmanship, fair pricing, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
